Let’s talk! Join us in a supportive environment where artists can learn from one another, exchange ideas, and inspire each other's artistic journeys.

This seminar is offered with six 2 hour meetings for artists to engage in a critical examination of their work and in discussions on professional topics. When it comes to creating art, community plays a crucial role in the growth and development of an artist. It helps artists gain valuable insights, improve their skills, and broaden their perspective. This is a small group course for the artist who desires nurturing feedback and would benefit from having two instructors with varying perspectives to help push your work forward. Participants will develop analytical skills to discuss and present their work. Limit 12 artists per session.

Topics to include:

  • Pushing through when you’re stuck and how to decide when a piece is done.

  • How to keep working in a fear based world.

  • Creating support and positivity for one another.

  • Expanding beyond the one and done.

  • Creating possible collaborations for making and showing.

  • Thinking outside the gallery box.

  • Focus on the formal elements of art, such as line, color, shape, texture, and composition.

  • Emphasis on the underlying ideas and messages conveyed by the artwork.

Critique fosters growth, expands perspectives, and encourages collaboration.
